Visions 31st Annual Student Art Juried Exhibition Call For Entries


All students enrolled at least one semester at Kennesaw State University, Summer 2013 – Spring 2014 are eligible.


All entries must be original works of the entering artists and have been completed within the past two years. The work cannot have previously been exhibited in another Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition.
Artwork must not exceed 50 inches in any dimension.


Non-Visions Members: $10 for the first 3 artwork entries. $5 per additional entry

Visions Members: $5 for the first 3 artwork entries. $5 per additional entry

How to pay entry fees:

To download the submission form, please go to to pay the entry fee. Two options will be available: Juried Exhibition: Non-Member Entry Fee, and Juried Exhibition: Visions Member Entry Fee. Visions Members will receive a password via email in order to access the discounted rate. Visions Memberships may be purchased online in our shop or in person.

Once the entry fee has been paid, you will receive access to the Juried Exhibition Art Submission Form in an editable PDF file. Access to the file will last for 24 hours. If longer access is needed, please email The art submission form, along with photos of each piece should then be emailed to

An artwork submission form, and a 72dpi .jpg image of each work, must be emailed to Each image should be saved as the title of the artwork, as listed on the submission form. I.e. birthofvenus.jpg

Improperly titled images, or submission forms without artwork will not be considered. Work submitted without payment of the entry fee will not be reviewed. For any questions regarding submitting artwork, please email


2-dimensional works must have wire hangers (no sawtooth or loop hangers). Works on paper must be framed behind glass or plexiglass with a sturdy backing support and frame.

Canvases must have at least a 1” depth with not exposed staples or the canvas must be framed or neatly surrounded with a wood-strip frame.

Jewelry and works smaller than 5” high must be protected by a box enclosure. Chosen jewelry may be presented together on fabric.

Ceramics and sculpture must be stable enough to stand on pedestals or the floor. Sculpture should be constructed securely and be provided with a base if necessary. Self-standing graphic works such as brochures or restaurant menus may be submitted and displayed on pedestals.

Digital Graphics, Flash Animation, Digital Multimedia, and 1-minute or less Short Films may be submitted via email as PDF, SWF, or MOV files. Accepted works will be displayed on a Macintosh Screen Presentation.


Cash awards will be made for First, Second, and Third places. Works in any medium are eligible for these three prizes.

A $250 Chair’s Purchase Award will be made on behalf of Harrison Long for one work that will be purchased for the University’s campus collection. Please indicate on your entry form if you would like your work(s) to be eligible. The purchase price is $250 regardless of the listed price of the piece.

A $250 Museum Purchase Prize will be made on behalf of Joe Thomas for one work that will be purchased for the University's campus collection. Please indicate on your entry form if you would like your work(s) to be eligible. The purchase price is $250 regardless of the listed price of the piece.


When pricing artwork for sale, please include a 30% contribution to support the Gallery Program at KSU.


By entry hereunder, entrant agrees that there shall be no liability on the part of the School of Art and Design, Kennesaw State University, VISIONS, for the loss or damage to the entrant’s work(s) from any cause while under the possession or control of these sponsors.


Notification of acceptance will be sent out the first week of December. Accepted artwork should be delivered to the Fine Arts Gallery in the Joe Mack Wilson building during the designated drop off time. You will be given tags to identify your artwork during this time. Tags should be taped in the upper left-hand corner on the back of framed works. All work must be ready to hang with wire on the back.
