Entries must be submitted by means of digital photographs via the KSU Visions website: Good-quality photographs can be made in a variety of ways. Students may contact Shane McDonald in the KSU School of Art and Design’s Visual Arts Resource Center for assistance with professional photography.


All students enrolled for at least one semester at Kennesaw State University between Summer semester 2017 and Spring semester 2018 are eligible.


All entries must be original works of the entering artists and have been completed within the past two years. The work cannot have previously been exhibited in another Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition. Artwork may not exceed 50 inches in any dimension or 5 minutes in length for video. Works selected for and included in the exhibition must remain on display for the entire duration of the show. 


• Non-Visions Members: $10 for the first 3 artworks submitted.

• Current Visions Members: $5 for the first 3 artworks submitted. $5 per each additional entry.

Entries are juried through digital files submitted via email to the address given to you upon payment of entry fee. All entries should include a completed submission form available online or through scheduled in-person entry dates. To download the submission form, please go to to pay the entry fee. Two options will be available: Juried Exhibition: Non-Member Entry Fee, or Juried Exhibition: Visions Member Entry Fee. Visions Members will receive a password via email in order to access the discounted rate. Once the entry fee has been paid, you will receive access to the Juried Show Submission Form in a PDF file. Images of artwork: each image must be no larger than 2000 pixels in any dimension and saved in .JPG format. Three dimensional works may have no more than 2 views represented. LastName_First Name_ArtworkTitle.jpg

Accepted artwork should be delivered to the Fine Arts Gallery in the Joe Mack Wilson building on the Kennesaw campus during the designated drop-off time. You will be given tags to identify your artwork during this time. Tags should be taped in the upper left-hand corner on the back of framed works. All artwork must be ready to display upon arrival to drop-off location at the designated times, otherwise the submission may be excluded from the exhibition. You will also be required to fill out paperwork for each of the artworks upon delivery.


ARTWORK DROP OFF: 10am-5pm, Tuesday, January 9th or Wednesday, January 10th

• LOCATION: (For drop off, exhibition, opening and pick up) The Fine Arts Gallery in the Joe Mack Wilson Building, Kennesaw campus.

• EXHIBITION OPENING RECEPTION: Wednesday January 17th, 5-7pm

• ARTWORK PICK UP: 10am-5pm, Tuesday, February 27th or 10am-5pm, Wednesday, February 28th


        • Two-dimensional works must have wire hangers (no sawtooth or loop hangers).

        • Works on paper must be framed behind glass or plexiglass with a sturdy backing support and frame.

        • Canvases must have at least a 1” depth with no exposed staples, or the canvas must be framed

        • Jewelry and works smaller than 5” high must be protected by a box enclosure. Accepted jewelry and small sculptures may be presented together on fabric.

        • Ceramics and sculpture must be stable enough to stand on pedestals or the floor.

        • Sculpture should be constructed securely and be provided with a base if necessary.

        • Self-standing graphic works such as brochures or restaurant menus may be submitted and displayed on pedestals.

        • Digital Graphics, Flash Animation, Digital Multimedia, and 1-minute or less Short Films may be submitted via email as PDF, SWF, or MOV files. Accepted works           will be displayed on a Macintosh Screen Presentation.


Monetary awards will be made for First, Second, and Third places. Works in any medium are eligible for these three prizes.


Three separate purchase awards of up to $250 each are available. These awards include the purchase of your work. Purchase awards will be for $250 regardless of listed sale price of work. Artwork selected for purchase will go into the University’s Campus Collection. You must indicate on your entry form that your work is eligible for a purchase award. To retrieve the awards, winning students must fill out all of the paperwork required by Kennesaw State as facilitated by the Zuckerman Museum of Art.


Participating artists agree that there is no liability on the part of the School of Art and Design, Kennesaw State University, Visions Student Art Guild, or Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art for the loss or damage to the entrant’s work(s) from any cause while under the possession or control of these sponsors. Awards and display are at the discretion of Visions Student Art Guild and the Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art. At the exhibition's conclusion, works must then be retrieved by participating artists during the designated times for pick up. Artwork cannot be retrieved by anyone other than the artist unless prior arrangements are made with the Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art ( or 470-578-3223).

Artwork left past the pickup date will not be retained by Visions Student Art Guild or the Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art without prior arrangements made with the organizers by the artist. | |
